Facility Challenges
Over the last year, the USD 244 Board of Education has worked with GMCN Architects to evaluate our current elementary school facilities to determine how well they meet the needs of our students, staff, and community—both now and in the future. Through this process, we have identified several key challenges and areas of focus:

Meeting the Needs of 21st-Century Learners:
Our facilities must be updated to support modern educational techniques, technology, and inclusive learning models that have evolved over the past 30 years.

Space Limitations
Our school is landlocked, restricting future growth opportunities.

Traffic and Parking
Ongoing issues with traffic flow and parking require improvements for safety and accessibility.

Cafeteria Constraints
The current cafeteria is undersized, requiring multiple lunch periods to accommodate all students.
